I really liked the French horn sound when it says doctor sleep not the piano. The heartbeats in the background... 😱. I think it needs to be said that you have to at least have seen the shining to truly appreciate this awesome film. See the thumbnail, hmm looks just like here's Johnny scene, watch the trailer and saw little boy riding tricycle. OMG Shining sequel. The movie is better than the book. Anyone in quarantine loosing their mind yet. The Shining is one of my all time favourite horrors. Doctor Sleep is in now my top 10 list! This movie is outstanding, outrageous and out-of-this-world! I watched it all by myself, I feel like such a bada! Won't go to bed until daylight though! 😂.
The only scariest scenes compilation that gave me goosebumps even after having watched this for more than once. Nobody: horror movie trailer: single piano note.
COMMENTS 30% STEPHEN KING 70% GENERAL KENOBI.
Can you do: How Train Your Dragon Hidden World (2019) Carnage Counts Plaese.
I wish Jack Torrance showed up and said hands of my boy! Smiled in his weird way and butchered her. That would've been awesome.
Getting so stoned and watching this. This movie was actually pretty damn good I dont see how people thought it was bad. Great video, I liked, subbed, and turned on my notifications. I didn't see this. I found out that one of my favorite native American actors is in the film, then I got dramatic. Why. I could have supported my fellow native American, Cherokee actor that I have loved since he was on Western sky ads! Gasp! Why didn't I go to see this in the theater. I'm going to get a copy. I believe the name of the character that my favorite actor plays is Crow Daddy. Legitimately this movie could be awful but if it has more than 3 seconds I'm the man in it I'll buy it I will watch it on a loop I will loan it's all of my friends so they can see him get it Zahn you get it. the advertisements for Stephen King in bold letters and Ewan McGregor in bold letters my favorite actor not all in there in bold letters how was I to know I don't shine if you know what I'm saying. Edit: oh fuck! Crow Daddy dies. Yeah no. I am only interested in this for him. I'm just going to to borrow the movie from a friend. I can't buy it.
The Shining trailer gave me nightmares for weeks on end, I was 11. I'd be lying next to my Nana & I could literally hear Jack coming down the hall for me. Ten years later I worked in an old hotel. there were times I had to check the thermostat in every room... 237. Really underrated movie. In many ways more interesting than The Shining tbh.
2:17 Here's Johnny. 1. D. Girls voice says hello Danny: Hello there. 4:24, to anyone confused, I think this is Director's Cut. Theatrical skips the Crow confrontation. Pretty sure we can easily predict all the scary moments. Stay back billy. Ok but the fact that Abra is using an anime reference while beating True Knot ass is pretty iconic. “It was supposed to suggest a kind of evil reincarnation cycle where he is caught in the hotels history.” “One is merely suggesting some kind of endless cycle of this evil reincarnation.” “Its the sort of thing that I think is better left unexplained.” —Stanley Kubrick. I'm more like jealous cause that frickin' girl is braver than me.
Unfortunately, even though Stephen King himself didn't like the movie of 'The Shining' it was very hard to follow when you remember Jack Nicholson's performance as the crazed, insane Jack Torrance.
Here we see Danny all grown up, and he has become Ewan McGregor, battling with an overlong, confused miss mash of a script that doesn't appear to fix together at times. CGI again for the special effects. Sadly no Jack Nicholson running around the snow glazed maze shouting 'Danny!
Stick to the original Shining.
I always got that impression that Jack was a reincarnated character, repeating a cycle of violence, over and over again. Mr. Grady said as much to him in the bathroom, I have always been here, at the hotel) he said, you are the caretaker, you've always been the caretaker' that was some pretty scary shit right there, a true horror-movie classic like no other. the words 'all work and no play makes Jack a dull boy' that Jack's been typing all along, showing that Jack's been 'taken' by the hotel again, was truly frightening, you don't need gore to achieve that just the right setting/music/atmosphere, Wendy's horror etched in her face at looking at the same sentence over and over again was awesome in it's scope conveying it. just a fantastic piece of horror genre.
This movie is the best thriller Ive had in past few years. Cheers to Ewan.
